Can we bring children?
Yes, our tours – whether guided or self-guided – are open to families: our team knows how to adapt to every group! We offer a tasting of local grape juice so that everyone can enjoy a friendly get-together and discover the region’s distinctive flavours. We also have a nappy-changing table in our toilets.
What do you offer to people who don’t drink alcohol?
We’ve thought of everyone! You don’t have to drink wine to take an interest in our wine-growing heritage, enjoy the beauty of the cellars or appreciate the tour. We have designed our mediation area to be a sensory experience. During the tasting, we always offer a local grape juice as an alternative to wine. This way, everyone can enjoy a friendly and enriching experience, whatever their background or preferences.
Is the tour accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes, we can adapt our tour routes for visitors with reduced mobility. Seating is available in our mediation area and can be provided during the tasting. There is no seating along the tour route, as we walk approximately 600 metres. We also have accessible toilets. Please do not hesitate to let us know your requirements when booking: we are committed to ensuring everyone has a comfortable and inclusive experience.
Do you provide any guidelines for wine tastings?
Yes. All our wine tastings adhere to a responsible tasting policy. We serve tasting portions, rather than full glasses, to encourage a sensory and measured approach to wine. Water and non-alcoholic drinks are always available, spittoons are provided, and breathalysers are available for purchase, so that everyone can enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind. You can also choose to complement your tasting with a selection of appetisers, which contribute to the balance and enjoyment of the experience. Wine is explored in an educational, welcoming and respectful setting.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, dogs on a lead are welcome on our tours. Please just let us know when you book, so that we can ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.
When is the Cave de Vouvray closed?
We are closed on Sundays in January and February, as well as on 1 January, the morning of 2 January, and 25 December. We have adjusted opening hours on 24 December and 31 December.
